Acid attack victim's ex 'knew exactly' what was coming
Devon and Cornwall PoliceThe ex-wife of a drug dealer who was fatally attacked with acid "knew exactly" what was going to happen to him, a murder trial has heard.
Danny Cahalane was at his Plymouth home on 21 February last year when he was attacked over a £120,000 debt to a drugs kingpin, Winchester Crown Court heard.
Prosecutor Jo Martin KC said Cahalane's ex-wife, Paris Wilson, 35, had "information about Danny and his whereabouts and knew about the nature of the attack", and alleged she was guilty of murder, which she has denied.
Ten people are on trial accused of offences including murder, manslaughter, attempted kidnapping and being part of a drugs supply gang.

The court heard Wilson, from Plymouth, was closely involved with drugs boss Ryan Kennedy, known as Frost, and she knew his henchmen were travelling from London for the attack on Cahalane.
Jurors were shown messages, in which Wilson allegedly raged about Cahalane's new home and his girlfriend's designer handbags.
'Tracked his location'
The prosecution pointed to a message from Wilson to her mother expressing the wish that Cahalane and his girlfriend would "get acid in their faces" as further proof she knew what was being planned.
Jurors heard Wilson later used contact arrangements for their daughter to track Cahalane's location.
"She had privileged information about Danny and his whereabouts and knew about the nature of the attack," Martin said.
"She knew exactly what was going to happen that night and she was prepared to facilitate it."
The court has already heard Cahalane was attacked in his bedroom and on his doorstep with strong sulphuric acid.
An ambulance crew found him in "considerable pain" and gave him morphine before he was taken to hospital where he died on 3 May 2025.
Wilson and Jude Hill, 43, of Plymouth, and Israel Augustus, 26, Isanah Sungum, 22, Abdulrasheed Adedoja, 23, Ramarnee Bakas, 23, and Brian Kalemba, 23, all from London, are charged with murder and an alternative charge of manslaughter.
Wilson, Adedoja, Bakas, Augustus, Sungum and Kalemba have also been charged with being part of an organised crime gang, along with Jenna Said, 39, of Plymouth, and Arrone Mukuna, 25, and Jean Mukuna, 23, both from London.
Adedoja, Bakas, Wilson, Jean Mukuna and Arrone Mukuna are all also charged with attempted kidnapping and attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.
They all deny the charges and the trial continues.
