Ozzy the bull has had his very own bespoke flat cap created to mark the occasion.

Ozzy, Birmingham's own mechanical bull, has been transformed with his own flat-cap ahead of the much-awaited premiere of the Peaky Blinders movie.

The 33ft-tall bull in New Street station also has a red carpet laid out for him.

Martin Simms, from Central Production West Midlands, said the movie was a celebration of storytelling and "I hope it really inspires people to embrace different cultural aspects, and be as engaged as possible."

"What we need to remember is Birmingham and the West Midlands is the home to original storytelling, we're steeped in the history of that," Simms said, as he also linked the creative spirit to Ozzy's makeover.

"It's really important. We need to ensure we own [storytelling] as best possible and share that with the world."

Named after late rock star Ozzy Osbourne, Ozzy the bull has been a popular feature in the station since July 2023, after he was saved from being dismantled, following his starring role at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games the previous year.

Erin Lawrence, from Solihull, has been a fan of Peaky Blinders since he was in school.

Along with the red carpet in front of Ozzy, the team have created an interactive experience for fans where they can done a flat cap and step into a photobooth.

Free portraits can be taken inside between 12:00 GMT and 18:00, until Monday.

Fans of the Peaky franchise have travelled in to see Ozzy's transformation, including Erin Lawrence, from Solihull.

"It's brilliant. I grew up with Peaky Blinders, I was at school when I first started watching it," he said.

"When we watch the film I'm hoping to see more locations in Birmingham on the screen that we recognise. There is so much history in Birmingham and many stories that are waiting to be told."

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man enjoys its world premiere in Birmingham on Monday, and can be seen from Thursday at Digbeth's Mockingbird Cinema, as well as on Netflix from next Friday.
