A 15-hour weather warning for snow and sleet has been issued from 18:00 GMT

Drivers on the Isle of Man are being warned of difficult driving conditions as snow is forecast into the evening and overnight.

A 15-hour yellow weather warning for snow and sleet has been issued from 18:00 GMT until 09:00 on Friday by Ronaldsway Met Office.

Forecasters said while the snowfall would initially be confined to the highest ground, above 1,200ft (366m), that would gradually lower to area as low as 400ft (122m).

Any accumulations of snow would lead to icy conditions and slippery surfaces, they added.

The latest warning comes a week after the island's A18 Mountain Road was closed for more than 24-hours due to heavy snow on parts of the route.
