Travel resumes but ice warning continues
BBCPeople have been warned of continued icy conditions on roads and pavements on on the Isle of Man following severe disruption due to snow and ice on Monday.
All schools have re-opened and the airport runway is back in operation after the conditions brough a halt to all of Monday's flights.
A yellow weather warning issued by Ronaldsway Met Office for ice came to an end at midday. However, an emergency closure of the A18 Mountain Road put in place on Sunday has been extended until midday on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a separate yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping between 11:30 and 15:00 GMT on Tuesday has also been put in place.
Forecasters said Shore Road in Rushen, Fenella Beach in Peel, and promenades in Castletown and Laxey promenades, as well as the northern end of Douglas Promenade, were expected to be particularly affected.
DOIRonaldsway Met Office said a slow thaw had started overnight, and would gradually continue as temperatures were expected to reach 7C (45F).
The government said while it had been "deemed safe" to reopen all schools and University College Isle of Man, icy patches remained in some school grounds.
Bus Vannin also confirmed all of its services had now resumed after some routes through housing estates were initially restricted.
