Man appears in court charged with attempted murder

A man has appeared in court following a serious assault on another man in Chapel St Leonards on Monday.

Scott Marriott, 30, of Sunningdale Close appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning charged with attempted murder.

Police said they were called to the incident at a property on South Road just after 09:30 BST on 2 June.

Mr Marriott was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 7 July.
