Firefighters have left a warehouse after a fire tore through its roof.

The blaze on West Quay Road near Poole Quay in Dorset saw about 35 firefighters sent on Wednesday shortly after 11:20 BST.

It caused a large smoke plume, with those in the area urged to keep doors and windows closed as a precaution. Several roads were also closed.

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said following an inspection at about 20:00 no hotspots had been found and crews had now left the scene. The cause is believed to be accidental due to an electrical fault.
