Ram-raiders steal £30,000 from Co-op cash machine

The store is on the Perne Road/Radegund Road/Birdwood Road roundabout

A cash machine containing about £30,000 has been stolen from a Co-op during a ram-raid.

Police were called to Perne Road in Cambridge at about 00:36 BST.

A black Mitsubishi L200 had been driven into the front of the shop and five people left the scene in a hatchback with the cash machine, Cambridgeshire Police said.

No arrests had been made, but the force said an inquiry was ongoing and officers appealed for more information.

Police have asked anyone with information, video doorbell or dashcam footage of the vehicles, or who saw anything suspicious to contact them
