The lorry became stuck near a holiday park in Great Yarmouth

A major route in Norfolk was blocked in both directions after a lorry became jack-knifed when trying to turn around in roadworks.

The A47 Acle Straight was closed overnight for repair work, but shortly after 06:00 BST Norfolk Police warned drivers to find alternative routes due to a lorry "becoming stuck" near the Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth.

Traffic system Inrix reported it tried to turn around but could not complete its turn, leading to the road remaining closed.

Residents reported delays in the area on social media. The lorry has since been removed and the road has reopened.
