A second man has been charged with robbery after a man died in a seaside town.

Norfolk Police said the victim of the alleged robbery, which happened on Blackfriars Road, Great Yarmouth, at about 04:00 GMT on Sunday 11 January, died after he was taken to hospital on Tuesday.

Angelo Pereira, 26, of Nelson Road Central in the town has been charged on suspicion of robbery and remanded in custody after being arrested by Cambridgeshire Police on Friday.

Osvaldo Semedo, also known as Miguel, 26, of King Street, Great Yarmouth, appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Wednesday after also being charged with robbery.

Pereira is due to appear in front of Norwich Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Semedo will attend Norwich Crown Court for his next hearing on 11 February.

The victim had initially been taken to James Paget Hospital in Gorleston with what appeared to be minor injuries and the police were alerted.

A Home Office post-mortem examination was carried out on Thursday.

However, the cause of death was said to be inconclusive and further tests needed to be carried out.

Police said they were investigating if anyone else was involved in the robbery and urged any witnesses or anybody with further information to contact them.
