A 17-year-old motorcyclist has died after a crash with a van and a truck on a country lane.

The boy died in hospital in the early hours of the morning after being seriously hurt in the collision with a Nissan van and a truck at about 15:00 GMT on Friday in Gaddesden Row, near Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

The motorbike and van were travelling towards Jockey End in the hamlet and the gas truck was coming in the opposite direction, police said.

Det Con Lotty Lewis, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, urged any witnesses to contact them.

"I'm particularly keen to speak to anyone with a dashcam - and who was driving in the area at the time - in case they recorded any important footage," she said.
