Luis Gabriel Guembes, 15, died after being stabbed, an inquest into his death heard

A teenager who died in a Surrey park was stabbed in the back of the abdomen, an inquest has heard.

Luis Gabriel Guembes, 15, died in Stoke Park, Guildford on January 19 after he was stabbed.

An inquest into his death, opened on 29 January, recorded the stab wound as Guembes' provisional cause of death.

Two teenagers, who cannot be named due to their age, have been charged with his murder.

The inquest, heard in Woking, has been adjourned until the conclusion of legal proceedings.

Guembes' identity was confirmed by his mother, the coroner's court was told.

The two boys charged with his murder, aged 15 and 16, have also been accused of conspiring to rob Guembes and possessing a bladed article in a public place.

Both boys have been remanded in youth detention.

Guembes was described as someone who "exuded a joy and love of life that was impossible to miss" in a tribute from All Hallows Catholic School in Farnham, where he was a pupil.

He was a talented footballer and enjoyed martial arts, according to head teacher Mark Baines.
