Detectives probe deliberate early morning blaze in Inverness

Detectives have appealed for information following a wilful fire in Inverness.

Firefighters were called to the property in Bught Drive at about 01:00.

No injuries have been reported.

Police said the fire was being treated as deliberate and have appealed to anyone with any information to come forward.

Det Sgt Laura MacKay said: "Thankfully no-one was injured during this incident, however, the outcome could have been much worse.

"We are appealing to members of the public who may have seen anything suspicious around 01:00 in the Bught Drive area to get in touch."

Police said inquiries were ongoing and have asked people to check private CCTV or dashcam footage.
