Crowds gather for annual Easter egg rolling event
PA MediaCrowds gathered in central London earlier to take part in an annual egg rolling Easter tradition said to represent new life and the resurrection of Christ.
Competitors attempted to roll a decorated hard boiled egg down Fleet Street for the longest distance without it breaking.
It was organised by St Bride's Church, which rewards the winners with chocolate treats.
The church describes the tradition and its annual Easter Dawn Service as "one of the most evocative and unique events" in its calendar.
