Saddle Road will be accessible from Braddan Bridge but not from Vicarage Road

A busy road used by commuter traffic is being made one way for a week to to allow for repairs to storm-damaged wall.

Saddle Road adjoins Braddan Bridge, which is a key link into the centre of the Isle of Man's capital, as well as to the Isle of Man Business Park.

The one-way system will mean people can access Saddle Road from Braddan Bridge, but not via Vicarage Road.

The Department of Infrastructure said the restriction - in place from 9 to 16 January - was needed to allow the wall repair work following a series of storms.

A diversion is set to be put in place from the A6 road, which joins Vicarage Road, leading traffic onto New Castletown Road.

Diverted traffic would then travel along Peel Road until Braddan Bridge.
