Gun attack on home being investigated

Police arrived and the property and found what appeared to be evidence of damage consistent with shotgun fire

Damage has been caused to a house in Ballynahinch, County Down, after a shot was fired through the backdoor.

Police were called to the Isle of Shinney Walk area at 23:30 GMT on Friday night.

Officers found evidence that the rear of the property had been blasted by a shotgun, with glass smashed and pellet holes discovered in the door.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with any information they may have.
