A group of teenagers threw eggs at people inside an LGBTQ+ venue in a suspected homophobic hate crime, police say.

Gloucestershire Constabulary said three teenagers entered Proud in Kings Square, Gloucester, at about 20:00 GMT on 4 February and hit several people with eggs.

The force has now released images of three people they wish to identify. Anyone who recognises them was asked to get in touch with police.

In posts on social media, Proud said the incident resulted in "a ruined laptop and a number of shaky patrons". The venue added that the "incredibly challenging" hospitality landscape had led to its closure earlier this month.
