Teen's Halloween display goes up five weeks early
Darren Rozier/BBCA teenager blanketed his house from top to bottom in Halloween decorations more than a month before the event.
Adam Wright, 18, from East Bergholt, Suffolk, began covering his house on 22 September with the majority of the decorations now up.
This is the eighth year in a row the teenager has decorated his house and garden, which is filled with skeletons, cobwebs, ghosts and more.
Mr Wright said he was raising money for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance charity and wanted to double what he raised last year.
He has hung up 12 brand new large decorations and plans to drive to Birmingham to collect three more in time for 31 October.
Darren Rozier/BBC"I sold all the [decorations] from last year to get bigger ones for this year," he explained.
"This is twice the size. I don't think my dad is happy about it, but I'm happy about it."
Upcoming Storm Amy has meant some of the decorations have had to come back inside for the time being.
Darren Rozier/BBCSome of the decorations move or make noises and Mr Wright is constructing a maze for his driveway.
He said creating the display was something to focus on while helping his mood and reducing stress.
Darren Rozier/BBCAsked how he funded his passion, Mr Wright said: "I run a small business so I chip in a little bit to the side after every [sale] that I make and I put it into a savings pot to go towards all the decorations."
After his Halloween display, Mr Wright will work to start putting Christmas decorations up and he said next year's displays would be even bigger.
