Police name man killed in A75 Dumfries crash
Police ScotlandPolice have named a man killed in a crash on the A75 near Dumfries earlier this month as Phillip Thompson.
The 54-year-old died at the scene of the accident, which happened just before 13:00 on 16 January to the west of the town.
His BMW X5 was the only vehicle involved in the incident which closed the road for about eight hours.
Sgt Colin Ramage said: "Our thoughts remain with Phillip's family and friends and our inquiries into the crash are continuing. I would appeal to anyone who has yet to speak to us to get in touch."
