A firm appointed to lead the landscape design for a £110m revamp of a leisure centre will be working with children on the plans.

Jersey Development Company confirmed the appointment of the London-based firm Spacehub Design on the Fort Regent project after what it called a "rigorous and competitive tender process".

Plans include a pump track, skate park, ball court, parkour zone, outdoor bouldering area and a children's play garden.

From 1 to 3 December, Spacehub will join the Fort Regent team for workshops with children and young people to help shape the outdoor features.

Sixteen primary schools will take part in a morning session, followed by five secondary schools in the afternoon at Highlands College.

Smaller sessions will also be held with La Passerelle and Mont à l'Abbé School.

Students will share ideas directly with the landscape architect ahead of a planning application due in March.
