Family unveils new memorial for WW1 hero
BBCA new headstone has been unveiled for one of the South's World War One heroes, whose grave had been unmarked for more than 60 years.
John Gilbert, always known as Jack, survived the war despite being wounded four times.
His family clubbed together to buy the monument in Gosport, Hampshire, for their loved one, which was revealed on Saturday.
"He gave so much, he was wounded so many times, how he survived the war is a miracle really," said his granddaughter Tracy Davis.

She added: "The fact that I'm related to him gives me a huge amount of pride."
The family gathered to pay tribute to the man who was not only a World War One hero but also a grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
The grave Jack shares with his wife Alice had been unmarked for decades but his descendants wanted to put that right.
Dave Ellis, the husband of one of Jack's granddaughters said: "Jack's service wasn't recognised and that's really what sparked the project.
"I think this a good focal point for the wider family and successive generations to visit and come and remember."
Jack took part in some of the major battles of World War One and was awarded the military medal for his gallantry at the Battle of the Somme.
