City centre roads scheduled to close for gas works
Ellie CalpinSeveral roads in Peterborough will be closed for about a week because of gas works.
From 9 March, Cadent Gas will shut the streets around the St Mary's Church roundabout, near Boongate.
Boongate, Dickens Street and Eastfield Road (northbound only for approximately 100m) will be closed off.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service warned motorists that other roads and junctions nearby may become busy at peak travel times during the closures.
Drivers will be diverted via Boongate, Frank Perkins Parkway, Padholme Road and Charles Street, depending on the direction of travel.
Dickens Street is expected to remain closed for longer than a week - until 5 April.
