Motorcyclist and passenger hurt in crash with car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcycle rider and pillion passenger were seriously injured in a crash.

The pair were travelling on Reeth Road in Richmond when their bike collided with a black Audi at about 12:25 GMT on Saturday, according to North Yorkshire Police.

They were both taken to hospital with serious injuries, a force spokesperson said.

The spokesperson appealed to witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to get in touch. The road has since reopened, having been shut for most of Saturday.
