Storm Darragh is incoming - and there are flood alerts across the West, with several events this weekend being cancelled, including the fireworks and market in Cocklemoor according to Langport Life. A red weather warning for wind has now been issued by the Met Office, covering parts of Bristol and Somerset.

Bristol Live reports that trams in Bristol and Bath trams are "definitely on the cards". That forms part of pledges by some of the Metro Mayor of the West of England candidates.

And Chard FC are set for a new home to replace their sloping pitch. Somerset Live says the gradient "has hampered their recent fortunes in the Somerset County League". The approved plans also include just under 300 homes.

A banking hub opens today in Calne. The town council says different banks will be using it on different days to give financial advice and services.
