Police are asking the driver of a vintage car believed to have hit a cyclist to come forward.

Suffolk Police say a male cyclist in his 30s was struck from behind by a vehicle that failed to stop, suffering serious injuries.

The cyclist had been riding towards Sudbury on the A134 near the junction with Boxford Lane at Assington at about 11:15 BST on Sunday.

The vehicle is described as a large black vintage car with large headlights, silver wing mirrors, wide wheel arches and thick-spoked wheels.

Police asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the scene to get in touch.
