Road safety upgrade for Trinity area of Jersey
Government of JerseyWorks to improve road safety in part of Jersey are to begin at the end of October, officials say.
The government said the Trinity Improvement Scheme would see a pedestrian crossing installed as well as reduced speed limits from 30mph to 20mph in some parts and from 40mph to 30mph and 20mph in others.
The crossing was to be put in place on La Rue es Picots, between Le Grand Clos and Les Maisons Cabot, it said.
Officials said the work followed a "lengthy" and "thorough engagement period with the community".
Trinity Connétable Philip Le Sueur said he was "confident that the heart of the parish will now become a safer environment for all who use it".
