City nursery rated outstanding for a third time

A nursery in Wolverhampton is celebrating after being rated outstanding by Ofsted for a third time in 11 years.
Low Hill Nursery first received the rating in 2012 and again in 2017 – and has now completed the hat-trick after its most recent inspection in July.
Lead inspector Barry Yeardsley said "high expectations and nurturing relationships make for a calm and safe environment" for the children.
He said staff "use their knowledge of children to hold children's attention and keep them focused on the task at hand" meaning children "become absorbed in their learning".
'Extremely proud'
The City of Wolverhampton Council-run nursery provides "a settled experience in which children thrive" with familiar routines, it said.
The nursery was also at the centre of the community, it added, with staff building strong relationships with families to "improve the life chances of the children".
Wolverhampton's cabinet member for education, skills and work Councillor Jacqui Coogan said the report was "incredible" and praised staff, governors, children and parents.
Headteacher Natalie Showell said she was "extremely proud" to be at the school and "that the hard work and dedication displayed by the staff has been acknowledged once again by Ofsted".
“Children, families and community are at the heart of everything we do, and we are so pleased that this has been recognised in our report," she added.
