A man has been charged with causing a cyclist's death by driving dangerously.

Cyclist Neil Routley, from Winterbourne, was hit by a car on Aust Road, in the small South Gloucestershire village of Aust, on 28 June last year. The 56-year-old died at the scene.

Daniel Booth, from Lydney in Gloucestershire, has now been charged with causing Routley's death by dangerous driving, Avon and Somerset Police said.

The 30-year-old was also charged with two counts of causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the limit of a controlled drug. He is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on 16 March.
