Passenger, 21, killed as car crashes into ditch

A 21-year-old man died and two people were left seriously injured when a car crashed into a ditch in Cambridgeshire.

Emergency services were called to the A605 Wisbech Road outside Coates, near Whittlesey, just before 09:00 BST on Saturday after the BMW left the road.

The 21-year-old from March, who was a back-seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 53-year-old man who was driving and a 50-year-old woman, both also from March, were taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

No other vehicles were involved.

Cambridgeshire Police is urging anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
