Delays on the M6 near Wigan have cleared after a crash involving four vehicles.

The incident happened between junction 26 for Orrell and junction 27 for Standish on the northbound carriageway of the M6 at about 07:45 BST, Greater Manchester Police said.

The force said there were no serious injuries.

National Highways said two lanes closed due to the incident had now been reopened.

Traffic monitoring service Inrix had reported delays southbound as traffic passes the scene.
