A group of 130 runners took to the streets for a pub-crawl in search of non-alcoholic brews and prizes to celebrate the end of dry January.

The Ravers to Runners (R2R) set off from Lost Horizon venue, in Bristol, on Saturday, running distances of between 5km (3.1 miles) to 12km (7.5 miles), depending on the routes chosen, visiting nine venues.

R2R founder Jo Bryan-Smith said: "This year was epic! Incredible energy from all involved and our best event to date."

So far, the run has raised nearly £2,000 in aid of homeless charity, Caring in Bristol.

Bryan-Smith started the group in 2019 with two friends, who were all self-confessed ex-ravers and began running around Bristol Harbourside, gradually increasing their group and raising money for charity.

"This year was epic! Incredible energy from all involved and our best event to date. Dry Run has gone from strength to strength, and gets even more fun each year," she said.

"We love putting it on and giving back to our communities and supporting Caring in Bristol," Bryan-Smith added.

The organiser said this year's event was "epic"

She said the aim of the game was to collect as many points as you can as fast as you can, or just to have a lot of fun doing it, with some of the venues hosting challenges for extra points.

The events are really important to give back to the community and beyond, and it was great to see all the runners supporting each other, Bryan-Smith added.
