The weather has been a major talking point this week, with Storm Chandra creating some dramatic scenes in Somerset in particular.

There are some stunning images taken of different galaxies available to enjoy at a museum in Bristol, and racing fans assembled at Wincanton in Somerset to enjoy the thunder of hooves.

And one school celebrated some good news with their local MP.

Faraway galaxies: Images from urban astrophotographer Lee Pullen are being projected onto the walls and ceiling inside Bristol Museum in a new immersive experience called Starlight exhibition. It is running until 7 March.

Rainbow radiance: While the effects of Storm Chandra were not as bad as feared in Wiltshire, the unsettled conditions did lead to some striking images.

Frome Fundraiser: Four women hosted a night of live music - BexsFest - on Saturday in memory of their friend, Rebecca Chivers, who died from a brain tumour in 2024. Money raised from the event at Frome Rugby Club will be shared between the Brain Tumour Charity and Dorothy House Hospice.
