City centre roars back into life on Dino Day
Hull city centre roared back into life as crowds flocked to Dino Day.
Families returned in numbers six days on from the violent disorder that broke out following a demonstration involving anti-immigration protesters.
Visitors of all ages watched dinosaur displays in Queen Victoria Square, as "park rangers" introduced a T-rex, velociraptor, spinosaurus and dilophosaurus.
The event, organised by Hull BID, also included a dinosaur egg hunt at the Prospect Centre, and a "dino disco" at Stage @TheDock, in the Fruit Market, among other events.
Dino Day is due to run until 16:00 BST. At 16:30, the Live from the Yard festival will begin in Zebedee's Yard, with sets from Cast and Ocean Colour Scene, among others.
It follows the postponement of Calum Scott's show on Thursday night.
