Alanis Morissette to return to Lytham Festival
Shelby Duncan/Lytham FestivalAlanis Morissette has been announced as the final headliner for Lancashire's Lytham Festival.
The seven-time Grammy winner, who had to cancel her headline appearance at the festival last year due to weather conditions, will perform on the Fylde Coast on 2 July next year.
Previously announced acts to headline the festival are Teddy Swims, Michael Bublé, Pet Shop Boys and Pitbull.
Festival co-founder Peter Taylor said Morrisette had been "determined" to come back after being forced to cancel and feeling like she had "let the audience down".
He said: "It was just really sad because the show had sold out, 25,000 people wanted to come and see her so we had to ask her back.
"Hopefully the weather will be a bit kinder to us next year."
Mr Taylor said he was thrilled to announce Morisette as the final headliner for the festival's 15th anniversary.
"We've got five fantastic nights that are all very very different. Don't get confused, get the ticket for the right day," he said.
"And we've still got quite a few of our support acts to announce in the new year."
Morissette has also announced a number of other tour dates across the UK and Ireland next summer, supported by London rock band Skunk Ananise.
She will also be supported by British indie rock group Wet Leg for her Glasgow show on 30 June.
