Vintage style returns for 1940s weekend
Andy Bell ImagesA 1940s weekend is returning to Lancashire for its 15th year, bringing free wartime-themed entertainment to the county.
Visitors to Lytham can enjoy live performances, including Winston Churchill re-enactments, 1940s music from Colin Bourdiec, Johnny Victory, The Bluebirds, Helen Farrell and Lancashire Belle Jane Francis.
Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, it will also feature military vehicles, vintage traders, military charities, dancing and a resident 1940s DJ. There will also be BSL signing in the main marquee.
Fylde councillor Jayne Nixon, lead member for tourism, leisure and culture, said: "The weekend offers something special for everyone to enjoy completely free of charge."
