Two men deny murder of father-of-two
West Yorkshire PoliceTwo men accused of killing a father-of-two in Keighley have denied his murder.
Suhail Choudry, 35, died in hospital on 11 February, three days after he was found injured in Flasby Street.
He was allegedly chased and attacked by a group of men armed with weapons including sticks and bats.
Rashid Hussain, 41, of Redcliffe Street in Keighley, and Majid Hussain, 42, of Devonshire Street, both pleaded not guilty at Bradford Crown Court earlier.
The pair, who appeared alongside three co-accused via a video link from HMP Leeds, also denied related offences of violent disorder and possession of "metal bars" in Flasby Street on 8 February.
The three other defendants, 23-year-old Mohammed Khan and 26-year-old Faisal Khan of Malsis Road, Keighley, and Hakeem Gulzar, 27, of Plover Street, Keighley, face the same charges but were not asked to enter their pleas on Thursday.
Honorary Recorder of Bradford Judge Jonathan Rose said despite a provisional trial date being fixed for 25 January next year in Bradford, an earlier date had been set for Sheffield Crown Court on 5 October.
All five defendants were remanded into custody until their next hearing at Sheffield on 14 August.
