Five crashes reported on A610 due to icy conditions
GooglePolice have urged drivers in Nottinghamshire to take extra care due to the icy conditions after five separate crashes were reported on one stretch of road.
Nottinghamshire Police said the crashes happened on the A610 near Giltbrook on Saturday morning, including one which saw a car roll on to its roof.
A man was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, the force said, and the road was closed while officers dealt with the crashes.
There were also reports of multiple crashes on the A38, near Mansfield, due to the icy conditions, police added.
Temporary Chief Inspector Jon Scurr said: "We're urging drivers to please take extra care on the roads today as there are still significant stretches of ice present.
"We would also advise motorists to keep a good distance from other vehicles, reduce their speed, and set off on their journeys with plenty of time."
