Pat Allerton visits three iconic cathedrals in the north of England. In Durham, he learns how the cathedral was built by the Normans just after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. In Coventry he learns of the suffering during WWII and the devastating raid which destroyed the 1000-year-old religious building. Finally, Pat travels to Lincoln Cathedral which was once the tallest building in the world.
