What happens when wives outearn their husbands?
In 1972, 85 percent of marriages in the United States had a husband as the main breadwinner. Today, that number is just 55 percent. In more and more heterosexual relationships, women are becoming their family’s primary breadwinner, but they are often still doing more hours of housework and childcare than their husbands are. This week, Katty Kay talks to Liza Mundy, author of 'The Richer Sex,' for a conversation about what actually happens to relationships when women start earning more than their husbands.
