I have known Terry for over 10 years and can confirm that he is indeed a fanatical Rugby League follower. He started watching Rugby League with his older brother back in the 1950s and can remember seeing Bev Risman play.

Terry started watching Rugby League in the 1950s and saw Bev Risman play.

Terry was also briefly involved with amateur Rugby League in the West Yorkshire area as an official. Terry is 5’4” and once found himself confronted by a 6’4” prop forward whose fingernails were too long… he requested a pair of scissors to trim them before the game, which he duly did! He also refereed a Rugby League game between the staff and boys at a residential school – the result being: one broken finger, one heavily bruised leg and five black eyes – all sustained by the staff!

Terry has raised money for many charities over the past few years, and as Mayor of Wyre Borough Council will be raising more money for the NSPCC and SSAFA.

Terry loves to sing and has attended the London Opera School, singing to raise money for charities. I know that Terry is fun loving and will rise to the challenge of singing at this event. He is passionate about the sport and is a lifelong follower of Rugby League in general.
