Singing Experience
Worked for talent agencies as a singer, fronted numerous groups.

My first Rugby League experience was an unforgettable one. It was my first game 20 years ago, on my sixth birthday – against Bradford away. It sticks in the memory not because of the last minute drop goal that won the game for Halifax, but because when my birthday was announced on the tannoy at half time, it was met with boos from the home fans!

I would love to sing Abide With Me at Wembley to represent my family who are all avid Rugby League supporters. When I’m not working, I get to as many games as I can and like to try to get a bit of an atmosphere going at Fax games to push our boys up another level. I’ve done the less glamourous games, like Dewsbury and Rochdale away, but I’ve never seen Fax in a final – so going to Wembley would be incredible.

Although I am a Fax fan, I’m a fan of Rugby League in general and enjoy the atmosphere at games. When you stand in the same place and get chatting to everyone there, it’s like ‘Cheers’ – where everybody knows your name!

Low point: Being relegated from the Super League in 2003.
High point: Avoiding successive relegations in 2004 with a last-gasp win against York in the play-off game.
