I’ve supported Crusaders since they came to North Wales initially in the Super League and after, when our franchise bid failed in their guise as North Wales Crusaders.

My role involved everything except coaching – and I mean everything!

I have become involved with North Wales Crusaders Wheelchair Rugby League team as their team manager and I’ve also become the team manager for Wales Wheelchair Rugby League team. My role involved everything except coaching – and I mean everything – from washing kit to arranging fixtures!

I’m also on the committee of the North Wales Crusaders Supporters Club and act as the membership secretary keeping our fans abreast of information and developments affecting our club.

I help out on our home match days as a volunteer and try to attend every home and away game I can possibly get to.

We do have a coach running to away games, organised by the Supporters Club but as a keen cyclist I have cycled to a few games and caught the coach back – I’ve ridden to Rochdale (x2), Swinton (x2), Neath, Cardiff, Coventry, Barrow, Warrington and Leigh (x3).

I am also a keen Wales RL supporter and have followed our team to France (Lens and Albi), Scotland (well, Workington!) and Ireland (Bray) and I’m looking forward to our visit to Italy in October 2016. One poignant memory was Keighley Cougars v Wales to commemorate the life of Danny Jones; I organised the supporters’ bus from North Wales and I presented Lizzie Jones with a framed Welsh flag signed by our supporters.
