People celebrate after same-sex marriage legislation approved in Thailand
Thailand's LGBTQI+ community are celebrating after the country's lawmakers approved legislation to legalise same-sex marriage, making Thailand the only South East Asian country to recognise same-sex unions.
Video shows people on the streets of Bangkok waving flags and hugging each other, as they celebrate a historic landmark for the country.
The bill will now go to King Maha Vajiralongkorn for royal endorsement, with campaigners hoping the first same-sex weddings will take place in October.
