Football fan bags interview with Gareth Southgate

A 12-year-old football fan, who started out recording interviews of his friends, has managed to grab a surprise scoop with Gareth Southgate.

Jacob was biking home from school when he heard the former England boss was filming in a local park in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

In his interview, he asks Southgate about his favourite goal (two for England) and best opponent on the pitch (Ronaldo).

"He was a great guy – really friendly to meet," said Jacob, who plays for Hitchin Town youth and hopes to interview more famous people such as Jack Wilshere and Cal the Dragon at upcoming events.
