Coldplay fan shocked at marriage proposal
A Coldplay fan said she "genuinely didn't have a clue" that her partner was going to get down on one knee at the band's gig in Hull.
Crowds erupted in claps and cheers as Amber Hird said yes to her partner Nick Bartrupe's proposal while Chris Martin sang Fix You on Monday evening.
"I tried to do it on the stage but I didn't get his [Chris Martin's] attention," Mr Bartrupe said. Amber added: "It's a night I'll remember forever."
The couple, from Halifax, said the first dance at their wedding would be to one of Coldplay's songs.
