Cape Town to Cairo: 'Going through warzones'
Keith Boyd survived a kidnapping attempt in order to achieve the fastest journey from Cape Town to Cairo on foot.
The record had stood for 25 years and Boyd, from Wargrave, Berkshire, beat it in 2024, completing the challenge in 301 days, 17 days faster than the previous holder.
The ultra marathon runner, who has now released a book about his exploits, raises money and awareness for his non-profit organisation Rainbow Leaders.
