Watch: The £100m tunnel to stop rivers running dry
A £100m scheme to take pressure off two key rare chalk streams has seen a series of tunnels built under the south of England.
Southern Water's Southampton Link Main scheme is constructing 19km of pipeline in Hampshire to move drinking water around its network.
It will run from Otterbourne to Yew Hill reservoir, near Winchester, and then south to Rownhams water supply works on the outskirts of Southampton.
Work is due to be completed in 2028.
