'There is no way to provide dignified care in corridors'

The health secretary has said there is "simply no way to provide dignified care in corridors".

Wes Streeting was speaking to BBC Radio Surrey & Sussex's Sarah Gorrell about the state of emergency departments across the region as part of the BBC's NHS day.

The health secretary pointed to falling waiting lists for planned treatment and improved ambulance response times.

But he repeatedly acknowledged that there were aspects of care which were unacceptable and it would take time to put that right.
