Robber vaults supermarket counter to steal tobacco

CCTV footage has been released showing the moment a robber climbed over a supermarket counter to steal tobacco.

The footage shows the man vaulting the counter at the Sainsbury's store in Morley Street, Derby, before taking 10 packets of tobacco.

As he fled the scene, the suspect pushed a man in his 70s to the floor, leaving him with pain to his legs, back and arms, Derbyshire Police said.

The force has appealed for information in connection with the robbery, which happened at about 08:15 GMT on 15 February.
