'It's in the public interest that Stakeknife is named'

Operation Kenova head Sir Iain Livingstone calls on the UK government to publicly name the Army spy known as Stakeknife, who was operating at the heart of the IRA during the Troubles.

It is generally routine practice not to identify agents, a principle known as NCND, an acronym for Neither Confirm Nor Deny.
