New CCTV released of missing Brazilian academic

Police investigating the disappearance of a Brazilian academic have released new CCTV footage.

Vitoria Figueiredo Barreto was reported missing on 4 March, the day after she visited a friend at the University of Essex in Colchester.

The 30-year-old got a bus to the nearby town of Brightlingsea and Essex Police believes she may have taken a boat from a yard, which was later found adrift near Bradwell-on-Sea.

The new footage shows a woman believed to be Vitoria walking across a field and at a boatyard.

Det Supt Anna Granger urged people with information which could help officers find Vitoria to come forward.
